The Learning Tree is a progressive, established Montessori school that offers year-round care to children 2 ½ to 6 years of age.  We are a truly child-centered program, with an amazing staff of seasoned educators and a deep commitment to the practice of outstanding early childhood education. We’ve been supporting families since 1979, and are located in a charming house in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.

At The Learning Tree we focus on the emotional and social development of children. We also provide an academically rich and inviting space for them to freely explore, and we have a large play yard where we have two outdoor classrooms.  We believe that the ability to be in healthy relationship with others is critical when it comes to success in the world and personal satisfaction in life.  At The Learning Tree children are guided toward developing their individuality while learning how to be in community with others with compassion.

Please call us to learn more about our dynamic and lively program or visit our admissions page for information about our application process.
